Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association
Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association
The purpose of the Association is to promote, encourage and support rowing at secondary schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in particular the Northern Virginia area; to provide for communication and coordination amongst its member and associate teams, the Local Organizing Committees, the Crew Council, and the Coaches Committee; and to sponsor and conduct scholastic rowing competitions.
Like the perfect bookends on a rowers bookshelf, the Al Urquia and the Charles Butt Regattas are the final regular season VASRA sponsored Regattas before the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Championship (VSRC).
The Al Urquia is hosted at the Sandy Run Regional Park on the Occoquan Reservoir and the Charles Butt is hosted at the Thompson Boat Center on the Potomac River.
VASRA looks forward to welcoming all competitors, volunteers, and spectators that make each Regatta a memorable experience.
VASRA is pleased to announce drone coverage of our 2026 Regatta sponsored by Maverick Rowing. Drone coverage can be viewed by visiting maverickrowing.com and selecting Drone Coverage. Drone coverage for each Regatta will commence roughly 5 minutes prior to the first event.
